All of our collections are made with ethically sourced leather. The tanning processes are certified by REACH as per European union regulations (Regulation EC no: 1907/2006). REACH addresses the production and use of tanning substances and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. The staff at the factory have great standard and amenities, working no more than 8 hours a day. The factory also goes through trade audits regularly undertaken by SEDEX/ SMETA.
Sedex is the name of the organisation – SMETA is the name of an audit methodology.
The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a not-for-profit, membership organisation that leads work with buyers and suppliers to deliver improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is the audit procedure created by the Sedex membership which is a compilation of good practice in ethical audit technique.
